Why a blog? Well, I guess it’s because a website full of recipes is just that – a website full of recipes, and there are loads of those on the web. A blog, however, lets you get behind the scenes a little and understand where I’m coming from and how my own personal life (juggling between France and the Isle of Man) can have a strange effect on the things we eat and the food we prepare.
If you see reference to “M-D”, it’s my wife, Marie-Danielle, who keeps me in order and makes an effort to control what we eat! My passion is food, you see… not just eating it, but planning and preparing it, and sometimes that shows up on my expanding waistline!
My aim at Chocolate and Chestnuts is to share that passion with you, and I have made every effort to include recipes that are super-simple (like boiling an egg) as well as the more complex creations that us ‘foodies’ like to play with from time to time.
